better late than never

i have always thought our freedom fighters and the people who had to endure colonialism deserved an apology but now that our government has demanded one here, im not too sure where i stand anymore. i think it comes a little too late and the fact that we have to demand for one kinda devalues the apology. enyewe thats jus me, but i'd really like to know what you guys think about it.
