I've always wanted to contribute something artistic yet thought provoking to this blog. And for a while now I've come up with almost nothing. Heres my attempt at provoking your thoughts with film. HOTEL RWANDA was introduced to me about a month ago by a friend of mine who is currently working there helping rebuild the nation. It tells the story of Paul Rusesabagina a hotel manager who started of trying to save his family during the 100 day genocide and ended up saving over 1200 lives. I have heard the story before watched the documentaries and heard the stories of the victims, but watching just clips of this movie really touched my heart. Made me thankful we are contending with over 6000 rats in a market in comparison to almost 1000000 dead in 100 days. I think we should keep a thankful heart because God has truly blessed our country. Even to being the cradle for peace in our part of Africa. We are hosting the Somalian government and just saw Sudanesse celebrating peace in their land on our soil.It says a lot for our nation. Inspite of it all there is good in Kenya..
Have a thankful day now..
P.S I haven't actually watched the movie as its not out in Kenya yet. You Canadians/American (and no I'm not making you cousins just your physical locations) how was it. Is it as thought provocking as it looks? Worth my 200 bob at 20th????
