Day Three:
On this particular day I dropped of my CV at a relatively decent oganisation no speaking to any snobbish secretaries just dropping it off in a box whee someone malicious could easily get a hold of it and trash it.
Meet up with my dad for lunch and go home because Nairobi h\is just getting a bit hot for me.
That weekend my dad meets the MD of the first ever companyI've went to and he is excited about meeting me talk about what its like for egineers in the Kenyan market...etc.. I'm like cool dude thats a bomb.
Did I mention I'd started questioningthis whole need to know someone business. I mean isnn't knowig God a sufficient requirement. WEll technically things wouldn't be working out this way if it wasn't so thank God....
DAY 4
GO back to the snobbish lady and ask to see the MD and she's like oh whats your name , and where are you from etc. nd call the office of the dud ati theres some girl here wanting to see the MD, I'm telling you I was like slow down woman its not like I want your job..
Anyway after a proffessional waitI get to see the dude who immediatly goes into offering me a months placement with pomise of a job once a position opens up. HELLO I thought we were discussing what goes on in Kenya for us engineers. SO he says but you have to meet my techical guy and prove your technical know how so I say aiight. Technical guy was in a meeting.. anywya dude says hey I saw your CV last week and have short listed you for a Job...(anyone seeing higher powers at work) yeah interview is within the next two weeks you should hear from me soon. And I'm thinking all well and good however I'm toatlly confused. Like have the two of themnot talked this over is it teh job or the internship...anywy i leave this to the MD to mull over and I go home.Good company by the way so I hope i get in and revolutionalize it with my own brand of genious and big smile...
I better go . Too much yapping while I should be preparing for my interview...
