Re: World Aids Day

"This year's World AIDS Day is an occasion to recognize the
burden that women and girls bear in the age of HIV/AIDS, but
equally, to celebrate their achievements in the fight against the
epidemic."

How can we possibly not call this feminist!!! Ala! HIV/AIDS itself does not make any distinction between the suffering of the genders, while we (they!) decide to recognise the burden of mamas only! My prediction, soon men will need affirmative action and lots of lobbying to recover the ground snatched by the feminists. Just wait and see! And what happens to the achievements of the male populace in the fight against the epidemic. Purely....feminist (for lack of the antonym of chauvenist!). Perhaps more attention on the men, just may reduce the infection rate in Kenya; more civic education targetted at the alleged culprits should instill at least a drop in the rates. A thought, just a thought. But PURE FEMINISM i say!
